Human Sacrifice was a practice that appears to have been carried out during the First Dynasty
It is thought portrayed during the reign of Hor-Aha depicted on a label from Abydos which has been associated with the fashioning of the imi-wt fetish. A kneeling figure is shown, with a figure of authority behind him. A prisoner is in front of the kneeling figure, a knife being plunged into him while his hands are tied. A bowl is between them to collect the blood.
Another depiction has also been found on a Year Label from Saqqara dating to the reign of Djer which also shows the ritual of Human Sacrifice, this would make sense considering the amount of satellite burials placed in his funerary complex .
