Nubkheperre Intef VI was a Pharaoh of the Seventeenth Dynasty during the Second Intermediate Period, when Egypt was divided between the Theban-based Seventeenth Dynasty in Upper Egypt and the Avaris-based Fifteenth Dynasty of the Hyksos, who controlled Lower and part of Middle Egypt.
Intef VI and his older brother and direct predecessor Intef V were probably the sons of Sobekemsaf II.[1]
Intef VI ruled from Thebes as a contemporary ruler to the Hyksos king Apepi in the north.
Intef VI was buried in a tomb situated at the Dra' Abu el-Naga' Necropolis.
