King B has become the designated name of a Pharaoh whose name as yet cannot be read.[1]

His name is known from two rock cut inscriptions from the western desert behind Armant and shows the falcon atop the serekh showing he reign at the very end of the Predynastic Period. A further possible inscription may be seen in the Eastern Desert along the route to the Red Sea between Qena and Quseir though it lacks the falcon.[1]

The inscription location hints that he was powerful enough to send expeditions into the Western Desert and given the position of them it is possible he was part of the family from Hierakonpolis who ruled southern Egypt.[1]
