A Pyramid is a type of ancient Egyptian tomb typical of the Old Kingdom, but continued during the Middle Kingdom. It is a structure whose outer surfaces are triangular and converge to a single step at the top, making the shape roughly a pyramid in the geometric sense. The base of a pyramid is usually quadrilateral.
The most iconic pyramids are those at the Giza Necropolis.
