Year Label's are small carved items showing events from a Pharaoh's reign.
- From Umm el-Qa'ab one was found by Flinders Petrie whilst sieving through spoil-dumps. It appears on the label that Narmer like on the Narmer Palette is uniting Upper and Lower Egypt. Narmer is depicted as a catfish smiting a bearded captive who over his head had a Papyrus, a symbol of Lower Egypt. 
- From Saqqara one was found dating the the reign of Djer which shows the ritual of Human Sacrifice. Others were found at Abydos stating Djer visited Buto and Sais..
